Up Close and Personal

I'm not very good at these things... What can I say about me. There's actually not much to say my life is pretty boring.

I was born in Lisbon just a few years ago, I'm a Capricorn, love long walks in the country, although I don't mind a deserted beach either, and frisky men ;D I live with my parents (I'm thinking in getting my own house with my brother, I'd hate to live alone), and a beautiful stray black cat, given by my best friend.

I’ve long since stopped studying and I have a steady job, but I am an eager learner and am always looking for new things to do and learn.

I'm an easy going girl, so if you want to friend me, be my guest. Just go ahead!

Things I Like

I love cats, I do like other animals, but cats just mesmerize me. As I
said I have a cat named Misha and this is my second cat, the first one I had was a black
and white cat named Xanana and was with us for 13 years.

I love listening to music. My musical taste is varied, from Mozart to Linkin Park. I like Pop, but I'm mainly a rocker. Some of my favourite bands include: Linkin Park, Bon Jovi, Breaking Benjamin, Guns n' Roses, Evanescence, Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, Creed, Alter Bridge, Duran Duran, A-HA, Depeche Mode, Fort Minor, Nickelback, Placebo, Robbie Williams, Snow Patrol, The Killers, U2, Tina Turner, Bryan Adams, K's Choice, Loreena McKenitt, Davy Spillane, the Chieftains... and Classic Rock bands that Supernatural helped me rediscover.

I know how to play a bit of piano, I started when I was 9 and then stopped and a couple
of years ago I decided that I should give it another shot, since I forgot everything. It’s not as easy as it seems…

I also like photography and traveling. I essentially like to photograph monuments and landscapes, I’m not very good at the whole “here’s a monument take me a picture in front of it”, or “gather around that monument”. I’ve travelled a bit in these years and I plan to travel so much more. My dream trip: Australia and New Zealand! One day, one day I’ll go there!

Favourite cities? Edinburgh, New York and Paris, London is very close by! And Florence! Firenze is a beautiful city!

My passion are movies and TV shows and hence I have a lot of DVD's. My colleagues from work call me "Blockbuster"... I have more or less 150 DVD's... I don't think it's that much...

I like to read/write fanfiction, although I always think they suck and most of the time, never finish them or post them. And then there's the lazy fact, I almost always write the stories in paper and they never reach the computer...

And because I have no inclination for editing whatsoever, I really like and appreciate to watch fan music videos. A good editing, a good song and choice of images can make a work of art :D

Sports wise I like to watch football (soccer) games, especially our National team's games, although I get really stressed. I like to play basketball and watch figure skating. I also like inline skating (still learning), skiing and bow shooting (is this how you say it).

And finally I'm not a good gardener, actually I live in a building so no garden to take care of, but I've had plants and Bonsai, and they just die, I'm not that good at it. But apparently daffodils like me and I love them it's my favourite flower, and I plant them on a vase at my window. They actually don't die on me and give the most beautiful flowers :)))

The Big Picture

Movies I love, I could stay here forever and I’d rather do a copy paste of my DVD collection’s list. So I won’t, I’ll just tell you that I really like sci-fi (Star Wars, Aliens, Matrix), but don’t like horror movies (unless they are really cheesy like “Army of Darkness”), I like action/adventure movies (James Bond, Indiana Jones, Die Hard, Terminator), but don’t like romantic comedies or romantic movies in general (some good exceptions apart because I’m a softie at heart, “Elizabethtown”, “Bridget Jones Diary”, “Love Actually”…), I like comedy, but they have to be really good and not to fall into the dirty jokes or bad taste. Mystery, fantasy (Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Highlander), and so many more…

The shows I like? Right now, Supernatural!!!! (my big passion, gotta love those boys!), Friday Night Lights, Lost, Heroes, Battlestar Gallactica, Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles (Sarah Connor just rules and that's final!) and occasionally Smallville, but I don’t pay much attention to it anymore I sort of lost interest…

Show that are already out of the air: MacGyver (will always be my hero!!!), Stargate (I know I have a thing for Richard Dean Anderson!), Buffy, Angel, Highlander, the X-Files... Dark Angel...
