Hi my Lovelies!!!

Yes it's me! I know I've been on this long hiatus, and I really hope that it's over. I REALLY miss you guys and I haven't been that busy, I've just been lazy, really. So since the last time I posted, nothing really special happened, I went to see Linkin Park in August which was AWESOME as always! The concert was in the south of Portugal 3h drive and it was a Wednesday, so we left work went there came on the same day and the next day went to work. It was insane but those boys are worth it and it was a great concert!

Then I went to New York in September. I really love that city and if I could I'd be there every year! I loved it, as always and when I was there I got to see a Broadway play. And this WAS special! I squeed so much!!! I went to see "A Steady Rain" with Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig!!!!!!!!!! SSSQQQUUUUEEEEE!!! It was BRILLIANT!!! They're both great actors and they shine on that stage! I loved it! Except the part where a cellphone rang in mid play which was very sad and embarrassing... It even made the internet:





It was really embarrassing because it happened twice with the same person... anyway it was magical and I will never forget! They're both very generous and wonderful actors.I will make a post with the Andorra pictures and NYC, promise!!!

THROW OFF A CLIFF - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Now this is unfair! *clings to Chester* Just because he seems to be happily married and has really cute kids. But I love him too! He has a great voice, and a kind heart, and has been through a lot but had the guts to change and turn his life around for the good. Soooooo, really off a cliff just because he's married! *snif*

HIIIII you guys!!! I'm SO SORRY!!! Seriously, I'm alive and well and totally healthy! I just wanted to apologize to everyone in my f-list for not posting in so long (although I'm not that much of a poster (no pun intended ;P) and for only commenting in your journals on and off. So what's been happening to me? Sometimes I just feel a bit weird and start wondering why I bother doing some things... it's stupid really, but from time to time it happens and I have to force myself into doing that stuff to remind me why I did it in the first place and LJ is one of those things. It will eventually pass but I SORRY guys I really am for not being around much, but I've been reading most of your posts!

Plus I'd like to give a VERY warm welcome to rutewinchester who is my newest addition to my f-list. Welcome!!!! Make yourself comfortable, I don't post a lot as you might see but I do lurk :P

So what else have I been doing? Besides my piano lessons, my goings to the gym and working? I went to Andorra in February to ski. I tried it out last year and fell in love with it! I love the snow and the snowy mountains and skiing is just... awesome! So this year was the 2nd year and I had a whole week of lessons with a teacher, I learned so much! so probably next year I'll be there again, the only downside the 10h drive... it is very tiresome! But it's cool I go with my BFF's family and her boyfriend so there's a lot of "entertainment" :D It was a great week, had loads of fun!

Besides that? Well planning my next big trip for September, which I hope will be to NYC, I just love that city It's still just a plan for now, let's see how things develop until then.

Plus I went to 2 fantastic concerts last month, Lenny Kravitz ad Beyoncé! Each of them awesome in their own right and I just loved them both!

And last but not the least... I have a new KITTEN!!!! YAY!!1 WWoooohhhhoooo!!! *throws confetti in the air* I'm sorry for all this celebration but I was starting to think that my Dad was never going to let us have a kitten again. See we've had two so far, the first lived for 13 years and the second (Misha - I swear it's just a coincidence lol!) only 4 (he had FELV which is feline leukemia...), it was very hard for us, and my Dad was very reluctant in letting us have e new cat. So finally last month he said we could start looking, and here is my new baby cat, Leia:

She's just 2 months old and tiny troublemaker but so sweet! She likes to stand in my shoulder while I make breakfast :D And play, and play and wear us out. I thinks she's not a cat but a Duracell bunny, Lol! I'm really happy *bounces*

So for now this is it, don't want to bother you that much, and promise I'll post some pics from Andorra.

Time to keep my promise and post the pics of Island Terceira :D These are just a few, because I have a lot more :P  I'm going to put it under a cut, so if you want to see them just click below.

But before that I just wanted to make a rec on an Harry Potter fic I'm really enjoying and seriously it feeds the Cedric fangirl in me :D And it's spoilery, so if you haven't read/seen Goblet of Fire don't read what I'm about to write, just go down and click on the link for the pictures :P

So the fic is called Finding Himself and it's novel like. It's AU to the end of Goblet of Fire, where, obviously things take a certain turn and Cedric survives that night and from then on we see the events of Order of the Phoenix from Cedric's point of view. But don't want to spoil it for you. For now minisinoo has only written the events of Order of the Phoenix but she plans to go through all the HP books :D Ah! Hiya my dears! Yes, I know I've been on and off LJ but been a bit busy and since time doesn't seem to stretch (or at least I haven't learned how to do it yet), I've been trying to keep up with all you guys.

So what have I been doing? Hmmmm, plenty and not much :P The week after my birthday I went to the Azores Islands, to Terceira to be more accurate to visit a friend who lives there. It was a nice break and I had a great time. I'll post some pictures later, since I promised my dear lupina78  that I'd do it for her, since she loves the Azores!

What else have I been doing? Well, I got back to my piano lessons and have to study everyday a bit otherwise I won't get any better. I just seem to keep forgetting how hard it is to play the piano but I just love it!  And am currently trying to learn how to play "Bella's Lullaby", I absolutely fell in love with it when I saw "Twilight" so I asked my teacher if she didn't mind teaching me (yes, watching Rob play had some influence over me! I'm a sucker for men playing the piano... *sigh*)  :P I know, I'm frighteningly becoming very Twilight centered. It's slowly coming together and I'm very pleased with myself. I've been slacking on the other pieces she had me studying, though... *slaps herself*

So, in the theme of Twilight I got the first three books and am waiting for the last - Breaking Dawn. I've already read the first three and the last, which I bought from the US (it was cheaper than the UK), but now it's taking forever to arrive and I'm just dead curious to know what happens. I'm totally unspoilled for this last one so.... AAARRRGHHHH! I won't dwell on deep analysis of the books 'cause I never liked when teachers at school asked to write a review of a book. So I'll just go with I really love the three so far. There were things that really got on my nerves, but the parts that made laugh, and enjoy myself really outweighted those that I didn't like. So to pass time, I started the books all over again. No, I'm not obsessive, I'm just not an English native and I'm re-reading to see if I missed something :P

And before I move from Twilight and on to the meme, I just have to show you two things :D One was during my stay at my friend's house in Terceira. There I found Edward! Seriously and he TOTALLY dazzled me!!! I was completely taken by his beautiful honey golden eyes, lol! Here take a look:

After a certain time, I start getting really tired and my body starts slowly shutting down, I get extremely cold even on Summer and if I'm out my teeth start to clatter. It's weird.

I don't think I have a defined style. I like sportswear, but to my work I try to be comfortably chic.. that's not even a style, but I wear jeans and high heals and pullovers...

Listening to music and at the computer

You remember Linus from Peanuts? That was me :P But it wasn't a blanket it was a cloth diaper, the ones that we used to have before these disposable ones appeared. Know what I mean? I loved that special one (it was never used as a diaper!) and couldn't sleep without it!

Which I find really irritating about myself.

AAAGGHHHH Molotof pudding (for those who don't know what it is is a pudding made with egg whites and caramelized sugar, only) it's awesome and chocolate mousse :D With these two I'm a happy girl *sigh*

After I've rolled on my bed for like 15/30 minutes cursing, I take more or less 30 minutes, for everything from shower to make-up, dressing and breakfast.

By angels_cordy (your recipies will be tried out, Hun! and I'll let you know how they turned up :P) and breathe_me27 had asked in her "Christmas Wish List" for a Christmas Recipe, so sweetie this one is for you :D Here is one of the desserts I normally do in Christmas. It's called "Leite Creme" which translates roughly into "Custard Pudding/Cream" in French is called "Créme Brulée". The consistency of it is more of a cream not a pudding.

Here it goes:

"Leite Creme" (Custard Pudding/Cream)




Ingredients:

* 1 l milk (34oz)
* 300 grams sugar (10.60 oz)
* 60 grams flour (2.12 oz)
* 1 lemon peel
* 1 stick of cinnamon
* 8 egg yolks

Preparation:

Put the milk to boil with the lemon peel and cinnamon stick.
On a pan thoroughly mix the sugar with the flour, then take the lemon peel and the cinnamon from the milk and gradually add the hot milk, to the sugar/flour stirring always to avoid lumps. Take this mixture to the stove and always stir letting it boil for 1 minute and turn off the fire.
On a separate bowl stir the egg yolks together and then add small spoons of the milk/sugar mix to the eggs and stir. This is just for the eggs not to boil when in contact with the other mix. Then after a few spoons add the eggs to the milk/sugar. Take it to the medium/low fire again and keep stirring until you feel it has a creamy feel to it, but don't let it boil. Then pour it into a bowl not too deep, like in the photo and let it cool. Then sprinkle it with sugar and burn with a hot iron.
Put in the refrigerator to cool or eat it after it has cooled without going to the refrigerator (this is how I prefer it :D).

On another note, I'm soon sending you guys the postcards. I would have this week but the Post offices were on strike this whole week, so no point... So if you want to receive one from me and haven't given me your address please do feel free to tell me and leave me your address in this post here .

And I also have gone completely Christmas crazy and redone my whole LJ look into a full blown Christmas theme :P I'm sooooo happy with it :D The Header was made by yours truly and all credits can be seen in my profile. Ah and my Christmas tree is making a cameo, lol!

And I absolutely love this time of the year :D The music, the lights on the streets, the decorations, that special feeling in the air... No matter how commercial it might have become, Christmas is always Christmas, it's about family, and friends and your fellow human. So last year I received a couple of Christmas cards and was so happy, because I love Christmas cards :D I love that feeling of opening your mail box and there's a letter, a card from someone who remembered you :)))) Isn't it a great feeling?

So, for those of you who would like to receive a Christmas card from me, I'd love to send one full of love and Christmasy feelings. Just comment on this post and leave your addresses (or send me an e-email/  private message), they are screened so nobody will see your address but me :D I already have the adresses of betgirl  and breathe_me27 , so I'll be sending you girls one, unless you changed addresses...

Supernatural, Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Friday Night Lights, Heroes, Bones, Smallville, Lost, Battlestar Gallactica, Highlander, Stargate SG1, MacGyver, Buffy, Angel, can't remember more right now, but there are probably more...

02. What are you wearing at the moment?
Jeans, a black sweater and a grey girlish woolen coat, but soon it will be my Hello Kitty pijamas :P

03. What was the best part of your day?
When I turned off my phone at my job and left for weekend *sighs* Bliss :))

04. What is your favorite dish to cook?
I love making chicken with coconut milk and Basmati rice. YUM!

05. What is your favorite drink?
Sangria of Champagne. It's a drink made with the sparkling champagne, soda (7up or similar) and fruit, lots of fruit chopped into chunks. Or only with strawberries...THE BEST!!! I also like herbal teas very much :P

06. What do you drink the most?
Water. When it's not water... Coca Cola.

07. What is your favorite restaurant?
Hmmm I don't have one favourite either. I do like chinese, italian and indian food, beside my country's food :D

08. What will you be doing after finishing this?
Get ready to go into my warm bed and hopefully have nice dreams and remember them!!!

09. What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a lot of things and never really setlled on one, I guess that's why I'm doing something that I don't actually enjoy... But my most secret (I guess it won't be that secret anymore) desire was to be... an actress... But I've been always too shy and scared and probably sucked anyway to pursue that.

10. Your favorite movie?
I have so many... I could list here my list of DVD's and they are like 150... But my all time favourites: Dead Poets Society, Star Wars, Terminator, Alien(s), LOTR, Gladiator, Indiana Jones, Die Hard, Romeo+Juliet, Love Actually, Dirty Dancing, Elizabethtown, Kingdom of Heaven, the Departed, Pointbreak, POTC, Stargate, Highlander, Wizard of Oz... and the list goes on...

11. What kind of music is your favorite?
ROCK and ROLL, BABY!!! But I do like almost all kinds of music.

12. What are you afraid of?
Elevators and cochroaches. EEEeeeeeeeKKKKKKKKKK

13. Favorite place to shop?
Hmmm online? AMAZON :P

14. Something that will most always irritate you?
Being prejudiced about something without even trying to understand it (ie: cats, and animal rights that's a good way to get me worked up)

15. What's the meaning behind your LJ username/name/nicknames you go by?
Well, it's pretty simple and basic. CrisM79 - Cris that's what my friends call me (my family calls me Tina, no I don't have a great voice or Hot Legs :P, so that makes Cristina), M is the first letter of my surname, and 79 was the year I was born. See? Nothing fancy :P

Trick or Treat!!!!!!!

Yep, good news deserve a celebration! And my way of doing it, is to make a new header in honor of the two shows that right now win my heart! Hope you guys like it, 'cause I have a bunch of people to thank for: images from stir_of_echoes and The Sarah Connor Society, brushes from mystery_spot and ewanism and with a little help of the tutorial from chained_angel13 

So what am I celebrating? I'm celebrating Terminator: The Sarah Connor Society getting a full season, when everybody was afraid we wouldn't get one *points at icon* I'd be happier if the news was of another season guaranteed but we'll get there =D So congrats cast and crew of TSCC!!!

Hi y’all!!! 

First of all I’d like to welcome my “new” additions to my Flist. I say “new” because they’ve joined my Flist since July, I think. I’m really sorry for not welcoming you before but things have been kind of strange for me. So Welcome to my flist, thank you for accepting my invitation, angels_cordy , lupina78 , mikeyrhcp  and dana_chosenart . If you look around you’ll see I don’t post very often. I’m more of a lurker, and commenter on other people’s journals...

So this said I have to give a sincere apology to all on my Flist for being MIA. The thing is, as I told a couple of you last month my cat, Misha, was sick ever since end of April and he had gotten worse. He had FELV (that’s feline Leukaemia, it weakens the immune system) and a blood parasite that caused him to have anaemia. The anaemia was severe and he never really got better, his blood cell count wouldn’t rise and I think that’s what eventually led him to his death on the 9^th August. We did everything we could to help him get better, but in the end it always seems that it wasn’t enough… I miss him loads, he was a very special kitty, he was given to me by my best friend as a Christmas present, probably the best Christmas present ever. He was an adult cat (4/5 years old) from a cat shelter. He lived with us almost 4 years and he was indeed a very different cat from my first cat, much more “talkative” and he was always cuddling with us, he was a sweetie. I loved him and seeing him go like this, wasting away, was just very painful, and draining and to some point I feel guilty for not having had the guts to put him to sleep sooner to spare him that suffering, but I kept having hope that somehow he’d get better.

Anyway ever since then I’ve not been on the mood to do much, and the internet/computer has been left behind. So I just want to leave here my homage to my sweet little cat. This was my adorable Misha.

 

But I don’t want to bore you with this. Supernatural is almost back and it’s just a good distraction! That’s about time, I miss my boys! Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles started last week and I’m really  just in love with the show as I was last season. I hope audiences pick-up because, really, I love the show and hope to see it around for a couple more years. I really love Sarah Connor, it’s one of my most loved female characters, ever. Probably my first favourite character, closely followed by Ripley (from Alien). And John with all that angst… guh! That kid is a endless pit of angst, love Thomas Dekker’s take on the character and Lena Heady, she’s a great Sarah Connor. Oh there, I’m ranting, sorry! Besides Thomas Dekker and Brian Austin Green… what eye candy *sighs*

What else is new in my life? Not much… went to see Madonna live, last Saturday. Or at least tried to, cause when I got there it was already packed and I got a very lousy place and couldn’t see the stage or the side screens… anyway great show I loved it. This year has been great concert-wise, first Bon Jovi and now Madonna *squees* I just regret not going to Linkin Park…

So I guess this is all for now. And it’s almost Supernatural time!!! I’m totally unspoiled, been running from spoilers like the devil from the cross, it’s been hard but I managed and I’m so proud of myself *g*

It’s already tomorrow!!!!! *woot*
